Corporate Website | UCC

Created a website for the U.S. market to support the launch and sales of UCC’s new products in the United States. The goal was to communicate UCC’s long-standing commitment to quality and craftsmanship, as well as its wide range of businesses and products, while creating a website that felt clear, approachable, and trustworthy to U.S. consumers. I was involved throughout the process, from defining the initial design direction through to production. My responsibilities included developing the visual concept, information architecture, UI design, and directing the design team.

Defining the Visual Direction

Defining the Visual Direction

Defining the Design Direction

We began by exploring the overall visual direction of the website, considering how to communicate UCC’s brand identity while creating the right impression for the U.S. market.

I created several mood boards exploring elements such as typography, photography, color, and layout, and worked with the project team to define the design direction. The goal was to maintain a sense of credibility as an established company while creating a more approachable, visually engaging experience.

Based on the selected direction, I then developed wireframes for the website. I organized a wide range of content, including corporate information, products, and brands, into a clear information structure that would help users easily find and access the information they needed.

Based on the established visual direction and wireframes, I designed the UI for key pages and developed design rules to ensure consistency across the website.

As production progressed, I also collaborated with external designers, sharing the design direction, reviewing their work, and providing feedback. With multiple designers contributing to the project, I provided design direction to ensure that the original concept and brand impression remained consistent throughout the site.
